The 2010 Classic Air Rallye
Not one - but THREE Lysanders ! Yes - it happened !!
This year the Classic Air Rallye marks its fifth season as “one of the best little air events in Canada” with a salute to the Westland Lysander. For the first time in twenty years anywhere in the world, three of these aircraft will come together. Vintage Wings of Canada’s silver doped Lysander “416” from Gatineau, Quebec, and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s target-tug striped version “2361” from Hamilton, Ontario, will both be flown into Rockcliffe Airport. The third example is of course the camouflaged Lysander “R9003” from the Canada Aviation and Space Museum.
